How do I book an appointment?
If you’d like to book an appointment, please visit the booking page and fill out the application form, or send me an email – zozutattoo@gmail.com.
How Old Do I Need to Be to Get a Tattoo?
You must be at least 18 years old to get a tattoo. In accordance with State law, tattooing a minor is strictly prohibited, even with parental consent.
We enforce a No Minors Policy—no exceptions. To verify your age, you must provide a valid State or Federal photo ID at your appointment.
What do I need to mention when describing my tattoo design?
When describing your tattoo idea, please provide as much detail as possible. For instance, if you’d like a flower tattoo, specify the type of flower. Be clear and concise in your description, and feel free to share any reference images you have. Additionally, mention the placement on your body and the approximate size of the design.
When can I see the finished design?
You will normally not see the completed design until you arrive for your appointment. If any adjustments need to be made, they will be made when you show up for your appointment.
What if I need multiple sessions?
Depending on the size of your tattoo, it may require multiple sessions to complete. I may also decide to end a session earlier than planned (due to time constraints, your pain tolerance, or necessary design adjustments). If multiple sessions are needed, I can continue the work the next day if my schedule allows, or we may need to wait until the tattoo is fully healed (2–4 weeks). If you’re traveling from another city, please keep this in mind when scheduling your appointment.
What happens if I cannot make it to my appointment?
You may reschedule your appointment up to 48 hours in advance. Any cancellation made less than 48 hours prior to your appointment will result in the forfeiture of your deposit. You are allowed to reschedule once without incurring any additional fees, as long as you provide at least 48 hours’ notice. In the case of a serious emergency, please communicate with me, and I will do my best to work something out with you.
Can I bring friends to my session?
Unfortunately, no. Support groups, family, and friends are not allowed during a tattoo session. My work takes place in a sterile environment, and I take great care to ensure both your safety and mine. Only the client and the artist are permitted in the workspace.
What if I need a touch-up?
Please allow at least one month for your tattoo to heal completely before deciding if it needs a touch-up. After that, email us directly with a picture of your tattoo. I will review it and, if a touch-up is necessary, schedule a time to perform it. The first scheduled touch-up is free of charge and must be completed within 6 months of your tattoo session. After 6 months, it will be considered a “refresh” and will incur additional fees.
If any alterations have been made to the original tattoo by another tattoo artist, I may no longer consider it my work, and touch-ups or continuing the project may not be possible.
What do I need to do after my tattoo is finished?
Please see the aftercare instructions for details.
How long will my tattoo take to heal?
Your tattoo will be mostly healed in 2 weeks, fully healed in approximately 1 month. When scheduling your appointment, please make sure to avoid plans that involve a lot of sun/water and exposure during the healing period.
